Note: This page was designed using dynamic HTML and Cascading Style Sheets for formatting, positioning and animation. Although you should still be able to read this page, viewing it as it was intended to be seen requires a version 4.0 or higher browser. You should consider getting a new browser for free from Netscape or Microsoft.

The most challenging thing about designing for the web is its rapid rate of change. If Internet technology is continually reinventing and refining itself, how can a developer keep up?

Karen's greatest asset is perhaps her ability to learn quickly. Her insatiable curiosity (or was that her low-attention span?) leads her to follow the progress of new and emerging technologies as they develop, often with no more incentive to do so than personal fulfillment.

As a result, even more significant than her ability to implement such things Cascading Style Sheets, dynamic HTML and Flash today, is the fact that it can be expected that she will also be able to implement new innovations tomorrow.

Furthermore, this means that if somewhere down the road she needs to use a skill she has not yet fully developed, she can be relied upon to master it quickly and efficiently.
